Aspiring Chief of Staff
Matthew has over a decade-plus of experience in the public sector, working across the entire value chain from strategy to operations. After advising senior management on nuclear safety and building the first Industrial Internet of Things predictive analytics model at one of the world’s best-performing nuclear power plants, he transitioned to various roles within the Capital Projects division. These roles focused on Project Delivery, Project Recovery, and Commercial Strategy, supporting a $12 billion Refurbishment portfolio and a $400 million Lifecycle Asset Management Plan. Matthew thrives on working closely with leadership breaking down silos, championing innovation across the industry, and being the connective tissue between the technical and business people.
In his current path toward becoming a Chief of Staff. He helps activate firm-wide projects and fosters improving team collaboration in all his roles. He is the glue between business units (Ops, Finance, Legal, and Supply chain), ensuring teams are aligned, appropriately resourced, and move in lockstep. Matthew’s relationship-centric management ethos guides execution without formal authority. He serves as a change agent, an advocate for allyship, and a champion for his teammates.
Matthew holds a B.Sc. with Honors in Nuclear Physics from Ontario Tech University and an MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University. Additionally, he maintains his Project Management Professional certification and associate membership within the American Board of Health Physics.
